In a 2017 research report, it was stated that around 101.6 million people in the United States tend to be part of wildlife excursions like fishing & hunting each year. Therefore, it’s best to pack some of the new hunting gadgets to avoid any hindrances that one might end up having on their trip into the wild. Most hunters are usually savvy and often packed with the latest gear in the market. Even after all the innovation and creativity that goes into designing the perfect hunting gear, there are always new gear and gadgets on the market, irking you closer to the desired prey.

Below are 4 gadgets that will ensure that your next hunt is a success.

  1. Paracord Bracelet

When going outdoors, covering all important grounds is key, as you never know what could happen. It is due to this very fact that the need for a hunter’s bracelet arises, which you can easily wear on your wrist. Some of the common things you’d be able to find on this bracelet are a compass, magnesium or steel firestarter, and maybe a hunting knife.

In tricky situations, you can also unravel this bracelet into several feet of paracord (up to 24 feet). Many army units have also employed this bracelet in times of need, so if you’re planning for an adventure deep into the backcountry for days, then this is a must-have.

  1. Thermal Scope Clip Ons

In the United States, an extremely prevalent and popular activity is to go night hunting. This is why it is extremely pertinent to shop for a night vision or a thermal scope to enhance the vision while hunting at night. Thermal imaging scopes provide a greater utility due to the fact that they can be used during the day as well, unlike night vision. With a thermal scope clip on, a hunter can easily take down targets from a distance without having to worry about scaring the prey away. Clip-on thermal scopes usually have a lower sensor resolution than thermal rifle scopes, which comes in handy when you’re hunting with the same rifle in the day and at night. The biggest advantage about attaching a thermal clip-on device is that you don’t have to suffer from a shift in the point of impact due to a change of the entire scope on the rifle, and secondly, you wouldn’t have to worry about a change in the shooting position which would happen if you decide to mount a thermal rifle scope.

The advantages of this nifty device are plenty, but some things you should consider when buying one are it’s build quality, the compatibility of the clip with your gun’s mounting system, the size of the lens, and its weight.

  1. Scent Eliminator

When going on an expedition, it is important to pack a scent eliminator to nullify the chances of the game smelling your whereabouts. Some electronic scent eliminators in the market do not mask the scent, but instead, the gadgets look to turn the oxygen scent into ozone and destroy the scent completely in the process. What’s more, the hunter doesn’t have to worry about staying downwind to improve the chances of making a kill. Scent eliminators usually come in multiple forms whether it is a simple spray-on or highly sophisticated & electronic zero trace plasma ion units. At the end of the day, it comes down to the budget of the individual & the desire of how much he or she is willing to invest in this party piece.

  1. Satellite Phone

Another extremely important gadget that one should consider when going on long-distance hunting sessions is a satellite cell phone. Phone signals are usually scarce if you are planning on going to a rural place or a mountainous region, and in the event of an emergency, the last thing you would want to worry about is cell phone signals. A satellite phone is an extremely handy gadget that is designed to help you get through to someone, irrespective of your location or dwindling phone signal issues. This is why this gadget is a must-have if you’re looking for the ultimate unadulterated adventure.

Searching for the best hunting gadget or gear is a fun activity whether you’re doing it for yourself or someone else. With the market constantly evolving and new and creative gadgets constantly flooding the market, it’s difficult to choose between the essentials and non-essentials for a hunting adventure. From paracord bracelets to thermal scope clip-on and a satellite cell phone, there are many products in the market to make one’s life easier on a hunt. Happy hunting!
