The countdown is on to Cornwall’s annual Canada Day celebration in Lamoureux Park.
Cornwall’s waterfront park will be home to a full day of fun activities on Friday, July 1st in celebration of Canada’s birthday.
“We’re looking forward to a full day of free, family-friendly activities and entertainment in the park,” said Amanda Brisson, Chair of the Canada Day Committee. “This celebration wouldn’t be possible without the support of our great sponsors, community partners and the City of Cornwall.”
This year’s Canada Day celebrations will kick off at 12 pm with opening ceremonies at the bandshell along with a free pancake breakfast sponsored by the Optimist Club beginning at 10:00 am.
There will be live music on stage all day featuring the likes of Grace and Eric Willison, Whiskey on Tap, Yvon Leroux, Switchgear and The Chesterfields.
A fireworks display is also scheduled for 10 pm.
The day’s celebrations will also include a variety of children’s activities, inflatable games and structures, food vendors, a beer garden and more.
