Improve The Lighting

It’s important to have good lighting in your backyard so you could enjoy it at night as well. There are tons of great garden products for lighting that you could use to achieve the perfect cottage-core-inspired garden. You could use solar lights, lanterns, string lights, torches, or even candles. If you have a fire pit, that would be perfect for roasting marshmallows and making s’mores.

Make sure to place your lights in strategic places so you can create the perfect ambiance for your garden space. You don’t want it to be too bright or too dim. Experiment with different lighting options until you find what works best for you and your space. With the right lighting, you’ll be able to enjoy your backyard day and night.

Add A Centerpiece

You need to add something that will tie all of your cottage-core garden decorations together and make it feel like a cohesive space. This is where adding a centerpiece comes in.

It can be anything from a small fountain to a birdbath to a statue. Choose something that fits the overall aesthetic of your garden and that you think will look good in the space. If you’re not sure what to choose, ask for help from someone at your local nursery or gardening store. However, everyone will tell you that water features are a great addition because of their beauty and calming effects.

Adding a centerpiece is an easy way to take your cottage-core garden from drab to fab! By choosing the right piece, you can really make the space feel like your own oasis. So don’t wait, go out and find the perfect addition to your garden today!

Use Lots Of Flowers

You should use a lot of flowers for your cottage-core garden. Here are some popular choices:

  • Roses
  • Daisies
  • Sunflowers
  • Lilies
  • Tulips
  • Daffodils
  • Chrysanthemums
  • Carnations

Whichever you choose, combine them in a way that the colors don’t clash and you’ll have a beautiful palette right next to your house. You could also use various items to put your flowers in, such as:

  • Planters
  • Baskets
  • Vases
  • Window boxes
  • Glass bottles
  • Mason jars
  • Terrariums

A flower garden filled with various colors and types of flowers is sure to give your cottage-core home the perfect touch. Using lots of flowers is a great way to add decoration to your cottage-core home.

Get Some Edible Plants

There’s nothing greater than picking fresh produce in your backyard and adding it to your meal. Not only will adding edible plants make your cottage-core garden more beautiful, but you’ll get to reap the benefits of fresh fruits and veggies all season long.

When adding edibles to your garden space, be sure to do your research on which plants will thrive in your climate and soil type. Once you’ve determined what will grow well in your area, you can start planning out where to plant each type of vegetable or fruit.

If you’re short on space, consider adding some potted edibles to your porch or patio. Herbs like basil, mint, oregano, and rosemary are all great choices for small spaces.

Invest In Garden Arbors

Garden arbors add a lot of charm to any garden space. They can be used to create an entranceway, define a space, or simply add some decoration. When looking for one, make sure to find one that is the right size for your space. You don’t want it to be too big or too small.

Investing in garden arbors is a great way to add some charm to your cottage-core garden. They come in a variety of sizes and styles, so you’re sure to find one that’s perfect for your space. Plus, they’re relatively inexpensive, so you can get a lot of bang for your buck!

Apply Vintage Decorations

Vintage patio furniture and rugs are a great way to inject cottage-core style into your garden space. Look for items at second-hand stores, garage sales, or antique shops. A coat of paint can go a long way in giving these pieces new life. For a more eclectic look, mix and match different styles of furniture and accessories.

Other vintage decorations may include outdoor wallpaper, hanging planters, and birdhouses. Be creative and have fun mixing and matching different elements to create your own unique space.

Cottage-core gardens are coming back in style because they’re pleasant and cute, so make sure to start this process with some nice lighting options. Get a centerpiece and make sure to use a lot of flowers in your garden, but you should also have some edible plants sprinkled in as well. Make sure to invest in some garden arbors as well as vintage decorations and you’ll have the most beautiful garden in the neighborhood!
