Cornwall, Ontario – The Seaway Valley Theatre Company has recently announced that they are now accepting registrations for their first-ever summer arts and theatre camps. The camps will be led by the Cornwall Art Hive founder, Yafa Goawily, and are open to children aged 7 to 14. This is a fantastic opportunity for children to explore their creativity, learn new artistic skills, and make new friends in the process.
The camps will focus on a variety of artistic skills, including puppet theatre, storytelling, crafting, and more. Children will have the opportunity to learn from an experienced artist who has studied fine arts, theatre, dance, and storytelling.
“Growing up, my home was always filled with different forms of art. Being involved in theatre taught me valuable skills such as dancing, storytelling, and even puppet making. Based on my own experience, I strongly believe that artistic camps are incredibly important for children to attend,” said Yafa.
In addition to the artistic skills that children will learn, the camps will also provide a safe and welcoming space for children to express themselves and develop their imaginations. Yafa Goawily strongly believes that artistic camps are fundamental for children to attend. She says, “They provide a unique opportunity for children to explore and discover various types of art, which can expand their imagination and creativity.”
The Seaway Valley Theatre Company is also looking for volunteers to help with running the camps. Specifically, they are seeking young volunteers to act as facilitators. This is an excellent opportunity for high school students to earn the volunteer hours they need to graduate. The more volunteers who come forward, the more children the camps can accept. If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions about the camps, please visit www.svtc.ca/summercamps and contact the president, Lise Richer, at [email protected] for further information.
The camps will take place on two separate weeks this summer. The first will be held from July 17th to 21st, and the second from August 14th to 18th. Space is limited, so interested parents should register as soon as possible. Registration can be completed on The Ticket Wicket website at https://bit.ly/407azDq.
