DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 12, 2026, and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged in the early morning hours of Jan. 12, 2026, the woman assaulted her husband. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, a Cornwall Police Service officer developed reasonable and probable grounds for her arrest. Later on Jan. 12, 2026, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 12, 2026, and charged with mischief under $5,000. On Jan. 12, 2026, a CPS officer responded to a mischief complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth damaged her neighbour’s property. She was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, INDECENT ACT

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 12, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and also charged with indecent act – public place.

On May 20, 2025, police responded to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for his arrest, on the charge of domestic assault.

On Oct. 14, 2025, police responded to the area of Second Street East for an indecent act complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man committed an indecent act while driving his motor vehicle. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest.

On Jan. 12, 2026, the man was taken into custody by members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and later released to appear on court on Feb. 17, 2026.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old woman from Berwick, ON, was arrested on Jan. 12, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with release order. On Jan. 12, 2026, a CPS officer conducted a traffic stop, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in her residence between specific hours. It is further alleged she breached the conditions of her release order. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

PUBLICATION OF INTIMATE IMAGE WITHOUT CONSENT

Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 12, 2026, and charged with three counts of publication of an intimate image without consent. In the early morning hours of Jan. 11, 2026, a CPS officer was dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Jan. 10, 2026, the man shared intimate images and videos of his ex-spouse with another individual. As a result, police formed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On Jan. 12, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Jan. 29, 2026.
