OUT and ABOUT with Seeker Chick Mai-Liis: spending time with her 12 year old Grandson Rowan… There is nothing better than spending time with family and this past Saturday I got to spend the whole day with my grandson Rowan who is in Cornwall for the summer, staying with his dad. We started the day off at Open Doors at the The Cornwall Jail and then we stopped off at Tim Hortons for Harry Potter themed donuts and drinks and continued on to Finch where we went to "The Day In The Flowers Event, hosted by, Brighter with Blooms. Located at 14835 Concession 1-2, Finch On. Honestly, when I mentioned to Rowan, who is 12, that I wanted to stop in at my friend's flower farm, I expected him to roll his eyes and say no way but instead he said, sure that sounds like fun and when we got there Rowan picked a bouquet of flowers for his great-grandmother and we also visited with many wonderful vendors. I find we all run around and are so busy all of the time but visiting the flower farm totally made the two of us stay in the moment. Rowan chose flowers for the bouquet and I was so impressed that he didn't even pull out his phone once during the entire visit. We had a wonderful family supper and then went to Cornwall Chaos 2026 at the Cornwall Civic Complex.
