Fall Colours
Hello there to November, the 2nd last month of the year everyone. It’s time to go into our closets and basements to get out our warmer clothes and footwear as the weather is getting colder by the week. other Nature sure outdid herself as we got to enjoy a colourful Fall Fashion show with the above seasonal temperatures this year.
Autumn’s alluring trends will not only keep you warm, but looking quite fashionable. Starting off with a myriad of different coloured plaids, relaxed layers and long skirts. All, Oh so comfortable and bunky for the long colder days and nights ahead. Heritage styles of wearing checkered coats, full skirts, waxed jackets and thick- heeled boots are all in like Flynn this season. The luxurious rich suedes, colourful florals and faded denims will certainly get you looks as you walk down the street or strolling along in your local malls.
This year is the season of the “Full Denim Look” (aka Canadian tuxedo.) Blue jean ensembles will be the IN look to have this Autumn. These sets including western styled skirts, tops, and footwear along with the trendy long skirts will be perfect as the cooler days come rushing in. Denim, as most know, is a very durable material and quite comfortable for most, (not me) people that have an easy going lifestyle.
The “IN COLOUR” this season is the luscious colours of Burgundy. Especially for my favorite things to wear.. ACCESSORIES! Dark cherry, claret, and oxblood shoes, boots, purses, gloves, sunglasses and even one of my favorite accessory of all.. HATS! To me, they are like putting a cherry atop a sundae. It just finishes off a perfect style and look! Another lovely colour for this year is “Butter Yellow.” BTW, I love the colour Yellow! It partners well with denim blues, navy, black, white and even pink! Do try to sprinkle this pretty, soft colour throughout your wardrobes to help remind you of the sunny days.
“STUDS” are back in the spotlight and are more prominently than ever this season. By having studs on your jeans, boots, shoes, bags, purses, belts, and even on jackets, they will give you a little “hint of glint” as you walk on by. Another divisive print that is IN is the leopard print.. (personally one of my favs.) You can add a piece here and there by adding an item such as a purse, belt, boots or even a scarf along with your own style to be subtle. OR you can BE BOLDER (like me) and wear a full animal print look with a matching coat and dress, or a leopard print top and pants and even boots.You certainly will get heads turning with your Catty Prints! Meeeowsy, Meeeooow!
The most important thing this season is to be comfortable and Fashionable. Even, if you just try one of the “IN Styles or Prints” it will make you feel Good and Stylish.
