HAPPY NEW YEAR & WELCOME TO THIS NEW YEAR EVERYONE, I hope you all had an AWEsome and FUN- filled HOLIDAY TIME with your Family & Friends! I Sure Did! ( I got to wear a lovely thrift store dress that was only $9.99. I felt like a $1,000 bucks. hehe) May this year be filled with New Adventures, New Relationships, Perhaps New Careers and many New Beginnings. 2025 is open to all kinds of New Possibilities for all of us. Please make sure to make this year one to remember. I certainly will remember this year as I will be turning 65 in July! Oh My! I Sure Am Ecstatic & Enthused To Be ALIVE At 65!

During this time of year in Canada we must think of staying warm from the Artic winds that Old Man Winter is blowing in. We still have to stay Fashionable at the same time. So, by pairing up warm, colourful knits with fleece- lined comfy tights will have us covered.. Literally! Why not add a cute woolen toque and a pair of mitts (so Canadian) along with a pair of multi- coloured and patterned leg -warmers and a feathered filled coat with a pair of sturdy knee-high boots will certainly keep us cozy and comfy during these Canadian Winter months.

Fashionably Marlene – The Holiday Season

Fall Colours

January doesn’t give us any “Special Dates” to celebrate on, so we can still be in the “Dressy -up” feeling from the holidays to go out for a dinner date with our partners, or our family and friends. The lovely colour YELLOW (butter, butterscotch, squash etc) is IN along with RED.It will be a Cherry -tinted world that will certainly make us all stand out against the Winter Whites. They won’t be showing any signs of fading (like the daylight) from many fashion items, décor and even make-up this season. This rich, intense hue is making its mark everywhere this year. The colour RED brings an intensity that is hard to ignore. It signifies PASSION and BOLDNESS… Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Ladies & Gents!

What is so cool about this year’s Fashion trend is that it is all about US! This trend is wanting us to project a sense of our “True Selves.”This is the point of “Personal Style” (Which is nothing new to me.) But after years of quiet luxury.. it is trendier more than ever to dress for our own GAZE! (Like That?) We can achieve this by wearing items from our closets, mixed in with new colours, materials and different textures.Add some accessories like sparkly belts, purses, boots and even hats to make people’s heads turn when you walk by. When they say, to Exercise,, I thought they said, ToAccessorize! I Do! I Do! Do!

Whatever the Fashions Trends.. Just dress for YOU. Dress formally or casually at any event or party. As it seems there isn’t really a “Dress Code” these days.

Until Next Month,
Keep Smilin’ & Stylin’.
