A vibrant end-of-the-summer celebration that’s been 40 years in the making is happening in downtown Cornwall on Wednesday, August 28 from 5 pm to 9:30 pm at 60 Pitt Street West.
It’s a special Arts in the Park: Pitt Street Edition, a special evening of music honoring 40 years of Arts in the Park.
The family-friendly initiative of the City of Cornwall, organized in partnership with the Downtown Cornwall Business Improvement Area, features a night of live music, a local vendors area, and fun activities for children.
“This milestone marks four decades of bringing our community together through free outdoor concerts,’’ said Lori Gibeau, Manager of Recreation.
“It’s been a summer filled with music, memories, and community spirit, all made possible by the incredible talent of our local performers and the generous support of our sponsors.’’
Music is the centrepiece of the free event, and organizers are thrilled to welcome two headliners, including Gordie Tentrees, a celebrated Yukon-based folk artist currently on a 2025 Canadian tour. The Young Bucks will also hit the stage, performing their high energy rock/country music that’s won over audiences across the National Capital Region.
There’ll be a licensed bar area at the venue, and attendees are encouraged to explore downtown shops and restaurants before making their way to the festivities.
“As our 40th anniversary season comes to an end, we couldn’t be more excited to partner with the Cornwall Downtown BIA for our final show of 2025,’’ added Gibeau.
