WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 1, 2025, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged on April 20, 2023, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. It is further alleged on May 18, 2023, the woman was once again scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A second warrant was issued for her arrest. On Dec. 1, 2025, the woman attended the Cornwall Police Service to address the matter. The warrants were executed, and she was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, FRAUD, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 60-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 1, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Fraud over $5,000
  • Public mischief

On Dec. 1, 2025, CPS officers were dispatched to a theft of motor vehicle complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged the man falsely reported that his motor vehicle was stolen after damaging the vehicle in a motor vehicle collision. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly – facing additional Highway Traffic Act charges as well. The man was held for a bail hearing.

MISCHIEF, FAIL TO COMPLY, BREAK AND ENTER, THEFT, POSSESSION PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, UTTERING THREATS, ASSAULT, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 1, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Mischief – destroys or damages property
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Break and enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Assault
  • Criminal harassment – threatening conduct

It is alleged on Sept. 14, 2025, the youth damaged property at a church in the City of Cornwall. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On Nov. 25, 2025, police began investigating a break and enter. It is alleged on this date, the youth was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to not attend a specific address in the City of Cornwall. It is further alleged the youth attended the address he was prohibited from visiting, broke into the residence and stole items.

On Nov. 28, 2025, police were dispatched to investigate a harassment incident. It is alleged on Nov. 21, 2025, the youth assaulted an individual known to him and threatened to kill him.

As a result of the investigations, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the youth’s arrest.

On Dec. 1, 2025, he was located by a CPS officer. A brief foot pursuit ensued, and the youth was subsequently apprehended. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was held for a bail hearing. 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 45-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 2, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Aggravated assault
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Mischief – destroys or damages property

In the early morning hours of Dec. 2, 2025, police responded to a noise/disturbance complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Dec. 2, 2025, the man punched and kicked an individual known to him, causing injuries, and later brandished an edged weapon while threatening to kill him. It is further alleged the man damaged property at the residence. He was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing.

UTTERING THREATS, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, SEXUAL ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 2, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic
  • Domestic assault
  • Sexual assault

On Dec. 1, 2025, a CPS officer was dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Dec. 1, 2025, the man threatened to kill his girlfriend. It is further alleged on Nov. 26, 2025, he assaulted the woman. Further investigation revealed historical sexual assault. Reasonable and probable ground were developed for the man’s arrest. On Dec. 2, 2025, he was located by police. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Dec. 23, 2025.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 128 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 48 hours (8 a.m. Monday to 8 a.m. today).
