It is alleged on Dec. 1, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report in person to the bail supervision program. It is also alleged he failed to do so.

On Dec. 3, 2025, members of the Cornwall Police Service were dispatched to a Pitt Street business for a possible break and enter, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to remain in his residence between specific hours and to not possess and break and enter tools. It is further alleged in the early morning hours of Dec. 3, 2025, the man breached his curfew, was in possession of break-in instruments, unlawfully gained entry to a business on Pitt Street and stole several items. The man was subsequently located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 3, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Nov. 20, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Dec. 3, 2025, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed, and the man was released to appear in court on Jan. 13, 2026. 

THEFT

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old man from Morrisburg, ON, was arrested on Dec. 3, 2025, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Aug. 11, 2025, the man stole an individual’s scooter at a Ninth Street West business. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. On Dec. 3, 2025, the man was located by police at the courthouse. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 3, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Eight counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Fail to comply with undertaking
  • Theft under $5,000 – shoplifting

It is alleged on Nov. 18, Nov. 28, Nov. 29, Dec. 1 and twice on Dec. 3, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to not attend a specific Second Street East business. It is also alleged the man attended the business he was prohibited from visiting on these dates. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is alleged that later on Dec. 3, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not attend a Second Street East business, as well as an undertaking with the relevant condition to not attend a Second Street East business. It is further alleged on this date, the man attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was detained by a Loss Prevention Officer and subsequently located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. 

FAIL TO ATTEND, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 3, 2025, and charged with fail to attend for fingerprinting as well as four counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.

It is alleged on Oct. 23, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so.

It is also alleged that twice on July 27, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is further alleged on Aug. 5, 2025, and again on Sept. 3, 2025, the man attended the same Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

As a result of the investigations, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. On Dec. 3, 2025, he attended police headquarters to address the matters. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Dec. 30, 2025.
