CORNWALL, ON – United Way Centraide of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SDG) Board of Directors is thrilled to welcome Danielle McCormick as Executive Director, effective Monday, October 19.
With more than 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Danielle brings a strong record of strategic planning, fundraising, advocacy and community engagement, along with deep roots in the community.
Most recently, Danielle was the Public Educator, Volunteer Coordinator & Social Enterprise Manager with Maison Baldwin House, where she was instrumental in strengthening and expanding the organization’s community impact. She led and grew a dedicated volunteer team, contributed to strategic planning, and spearheaded advocacy campaigns that brought important issues to the forefront.
“We’re extremely pleased to welcome Danielle to United Way Centraide SDG. She brings a strong background in community engagement, advocacy and social impact,” said Gerard McDonald, Chair of the Board of Directors of United Way Centraide SDG. “Her experience building relationships across our communities, engaging volunteers and partners, and leading work on important social issues will be a real asset to our United Way and community partners.”
“I am very excited to join United Way Centraide SDG,” said Danielle McCormick. “I’ve spent my career advocating for women and female-identifying individuals impacted by domestic violence and human trafficking, ensuring safety, stability and support during some of the most difficult times in their lives. That work has allowed me to understand how interconnected social issues shape the unique challenges people in our community are facing. I know our region, I know our services, and I know that removing barriers and connecting people to the right service, at the right time, can change lives. I’m looking forward to bringing that perspective to Unite
The Board of Directors of United Way Centraide SDG also acknowledges the remarkable contribution of Juliette Labossière, who was Executive Director from 2019 to 2026. The Board is grateful to Stephanie Lapointe, Marketing and Communications Director, who provided leadership as Interim Executive Director over the past few months.
