Do you need a laugh? You’re in luck.

After the last three years, filled with closures, missed school, remote work and just straight up hard times, I’m ready to laugh. And the Cornwall Comedy Rebirth Gala is just what I need. I’ve always enjoyed the amazing performances and can appreciate how far Shawn Fowlers, the man behind the Cornwall Comedy Festival, is willing to go to get a few giggles out of us, and raise money for local non-profits. Love you, man!

Joining forces with community partners such as Rozon Insurance Brokers, Cornwall Toyota, The Happy Popcorn Co., Boom 101.9, 1045 Fresh Radio and Cornwall Seaway News, the event is back in full force and will take place at Aultsville Theater on October 15th. Host and Creator Rob Bebenek, a veteran standup comedian with 15 years of laughs under his belt, will have you in stitches along headliner Derek Seguin and comedians Jen Grant, Nick Reynoldson and Viveth K.

As soon as Derek opens his mouth, you’ll see, you’ll get going. And don’t expect to stop till the end. The man is so expressively funny. I can’t wait to see what he has to say about the pandemic. Jen Grant, an award nominated comedian originally from Ottawa, who has “achieved virtually everything you can in the world of stand-up comedy in Canada”, is also a number not to be missed. I have not personally seen the other two in action, but I’m positive I won’t be disapointed.
