TORONTO, ON – Gail Gagnon of Cornwall is $100,000 richer after winning with INSTANT ULTIMATE (Game #2397).

Gail, a 69-year-old retiree, said she has been playing the lottery for over 40 years. “I was playing my ticket while sitting on the couch and I just stared at it for a while,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “My partner saw the blank stare on my face and asked if everything was okay. I said, ‘Come look at this – I think I just won.’”

Gail was in such shock that she didn’t believe what she was seeing. “I couldn’t sleep that night – my brain wouldn’t shut off!”

Gail’s son lives in Toronto, so when she arrived at his house before heading to the OLG Prize Centre, he had champagne waiting for them. “It was the sweetest thing ever. This whole experience has been truly magical,” she smiled.

She plans to save her winnings and is considering future travel.

INSTANT ULTIMATE was available for $100 a play with 40 $1 million top prizes drawn on January 4, 2024. The odds of winning any prize were 1 in 3.55. Visit the INSTANT page on OLG.ca for more information on this and other great games.

The winning ticket was purchased at the CNIB Kiosk in Walmart on Ninth Street in Cornwall.

OLG supports safe play and wants to keep the fun in the game. That’s why OLG is proud to be a leader in promoting responsible gambling with our globally recognized PlaySmart program.
