Cornwall Seaway Lions donate $1,500 to Hugs for Mike and Tia

Lions Julia and John Lucio presented a cheque of $1,500 to Kensington Scott, daughter of Mike and Tia Scott, in support of the “Hugs for Mike and Tia” campaign.

 

Saturday afternoon, Cornwall Seaway Lions Club donated $1,500 to the “Hugs for Mike & Tia” cause.

Mike Scott, a 37 year old local man who suffered a massive heart attack on January 18th.  After he collapsed, his wife called 911 and Mike was rushed to hospital for open heart surgery at the Ottawa Heart Institute where he will spend the next six to eight months recovering.

Mike is in a coma after having an operation Friday installing a Heart Mate.  He is on the transplant list for a new heart.

The Cornwall Seaway Lions sends hugs and prayers to the family.
