choosecornwall.com – Pursuing another one of his passions, Tony Lacroix has recently opened The Kingslea, a boutique featuring a trendy mix of customized, unique urban-chic apparel and accessories.

“The Kingslea is more than a traditional clothing store,” explained Mr. Lacroix. “I have recognized that consumers are looking for originality, while still having access to standard pieces. My formula is simple, do I know anyone who would wear this garment? If not, there is a big chance I don’t carry it. The emphasis is on style over brands. We have paid extra attention to avoid products that are already offered in other stores in the area. What is important is that we add to the already amazing mix of retailers in Cornwall.”

The Kingslea caters to a wide range of customers, both women and men. You will find traditional suits or a special piece for an evening out, and everything in between. The boutique is stocked with items from all over including beauty products from Toronto and Sudbury, and clothing lines from Montreal, Vancouver and Italy. Accessories can be a big part of an individual fashion. The boutique features great handbags, wristlets, scarves and jewellery pieces fit for everyday, or a special evening out.

If the fit is not quite right, The Kingslea also offers a wide range of tailoring services. From full tailored suits to simple alterations such as hemlines. While their custom tailoring services are limited, they strive to provide a fit that will get clients excited to wake up and choose an outfit for the day.

Mr. Lacroix is self admittedly a serial entrepreneur. In fact, this is his 3rd business in Cornwall – you may recognize his name from his previous business, Love Love Food. This time around he is feeding another of his passions – fashion. He spent much of his youth at a sewing machine. Starting at the age of 12, he spent his life refining his skills and spoiling his loved ones with trendy, eye-catching gifts.

The Kingslea opened on February 15th, at 145 Pitt Street in the heart of Downtown Cornwall. Mr. Lacroix believes that the area is a thriving section of the City of Cornwall and loves his Downtown business family. Community is extremely important to him and he plans to support great causes like the United Way and the Optimist Club as well as a few others that he holds dear to his heart.

The Kingslea is located at 145 Pitt Street and is open Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 10am to 5pm, Thursday 10am to 7pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm. The boutique can be reached at 613-933-8585 or online at
