Cornwall Public Library is pleased to announce the start of curbside pickup service at the library.
It began Monday, May 25 and is available to those that have a Cornwall Public Library membership card.
The pickup is by appointment only and library staff will initiate a call with the patron to select a time for pickup. The library’s website (www.library.cornwall.on.ca) has instructions on how to place materials on reserve for subsequent pickup. “It’s been more than two months since we had to shut down operations and we’re really happy to be able to offer this service at this time” said Pierre Dufour, Communications and Program Manager at the library. A few staff were recalled to handle the requests, as well as items that are being returned.
“There are no overdue charges and patrons can borrow even if their card has expired” he continued to say. The pickup schedule is arranged so that no two patrons are scheduled at the same time so that the social distancing rules are being respected and the safety of everyone in ensured. The pickup location is at the Sydney Street entrance. The materials pickup and drop-off schedule is Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sydney Street entrance.
The library building, at this time, remains closed to the public.
