2020 will be a unique year for the Optimist Club of Cornwall Ribfest. At a time when local businesses and service clubs need all the support they can get, the Optimist Club of Cornwall and Restaurants have combined forces to create a team effort that can support both.

Many local businesses will be partnering with Cornwall Ribfest to present the Ribfest Community Cookout. This will see an entire week of many local restaurants supporting the Optimist Club programs with a few of the traditional professional ribbers setting up for Friday and Saturday.

Every purchase made during the week will support not only our local businesses but also the Optimist Club and allow the Optimist Club to support ongoing programs for youth. Also, every meal purchased will get you a ballot to enter in to a draw for $1,000.00 cash. Support the Optimist Club by visiting the Ribfest Community Cookout between July 20th and 25th.

To date, the following restaurants have joined , with more coming on board to help.

Texas Rangers, Ribs Royale and Crabbys will be here Friday July 24th and Saturday July 25th also along with a possibility of a few of the smaller vendors that serve those special foods you only get at Ribfest.

This project is the perfect example of what can happen when people with open minds and a compassion for our community work together towards a common goal. The initial meeting was between Hassan Rafai (Schnitzels), Lee Theodore and Roger Caron (The Spicy Pearl) and Terry Muir (Ribfest/Optimist Club).

Please join us starting July 20th, support our local restaurants and the Optimist Club, enjoy some of the most amazing food that Cornwall has to offer and maybe you will walk away with $1,000.00 cash donated by local business. More details to follow.
