Do you wish to give your bedroom a geeky look and feel? The secret is to fill it with everything you love to watch, experience, or read without cluttering. If you have taken on the task of creating your little geek sanctuary, the following are a few interesting tips that may help:

Paint the Walls

Clean your walls and paint them. Consider using nude colors like cream and white as they go well with anything. If you do not wish to paint your walls, clean them appropriately. Geeky wallpaper may be a great option as well. There are plenty of options to suit different interests, and it is easy to maintain. Wallpapers last long and may retain their good looks for a long time.

Cool Wall Decals

When you have clean, well-painted walls, the next step is to add some interesting decals. They should cover a big portion of the wall to add an artsy look to your bedroom. Choose decals that match your interests. You can decorate your bedroom wall with holiday lights and alphabets. If you have a photo collection in your bedroom, you can sneak a single framed photo of Capt. Pickard into your photo wall.

Posters

Consider using posters to appreciate your favorite comic characters, artists, heroes, or arts. The right poster can be eye candy and a great addition to any geeky room. Choose the right dimensions to cover a big part of your walls without looking too crowded. There are plenty of poster options, and every geek can find something interesting.

Bookshelf

Once you are done with the walls, consider adding a statement bookshelf to your bedroom. The bookshelf can be both decorative and functional. Use it to hold your books, movie/game DVDs, and other precious items. If you have some space left on your bookshelf, consider filling it with figurines, models, or the replica models of your favorite movie or video game characters.

Pay Attention to Your Door Sign

Your door sign is the first thing that people see when getting into your bedroom. Consider using a swanky sign to demonstrate your interests.

Lighting

Lighting is an important part of your geeky bedroom. Your choice of lighting can be a reflection of your interests. Consider using lighting options with comical or superhero shapes or Sci-Fi references. You get the chance to light up your space while showcasing your interest in video game characters, dinosaurs, Pokemon, and more.

Nothing shouts geeky than a ‘Lumos’ and ‘Nox’ light switch. How about decorating your bedroom with these light switches? You can handwrite over your switch the words, ‘Lumos’ and ‘Nox’.

Superhero Couch Cushions, Sheets, and Duvets

Consider using superhero cushions, pillow covers, duvets, and sheets in your bedroom. Whether you are interested in fantasy styles or character-inspired options, you can find something for your space. Decorating with pillows, bedding, and cushions that show your fandom will give your bedroom geeky appeal.

Word Clock

A word clock will turn your basic bedroom into a geek sanctuary. Instead of revolving hands or numbers, the clock displays time in words. It is an amazing geeky item to have in your bedroom. Some word clocks may have extra features such as AC adapters.

Interesting Snack Bowls

Consider adding a geeky snack bowl to your bedroom to improve its appeal. There are plenty of options depending on your preference. With a bowl in the shape of your favorite fictional character, you will smile every time you grab a snack.

Video Game-Themed Wireless Charger

Most geeks enjoy classic computer games and would be happy to have items with their favorite characters in their space. Whether you enjoy superhero symbols, the punchy characters, or fun costumes, you can find a wireless charger to match your interests. It would be a great way to give your bedroom a geeky feel.

Decorate Your Desk

A good desk is a must-have in every geek bedroom, and it does not need to be boring. Consider adding a plant, trophies, action figures toy, or a stack of CDs to your desk. The decorative elements may take your bedroom from basic to geeky. The goal should be to use the right elements and avoid cluttering.

In conclusion, achieving the geeky bedroom of your bedrooms is easy. With some effort and the right design items, you can transform any bedroom into a geek sanctuary. While many people choose to hide their geeky side, geek style is the new It-thing, and you can showcase it with your bedroom décor.
