Andrea Pirlo could not save face when he sustained a draw with Benevento in Serie A ground. Over time, Andrea hasn’t been that valuable to Juventus. In fact, without Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal at Lazio or brace at Roma, Andrea would still be struggling to support Juventus to offer consistent performance in the domestic season.

Thus, after the uninspiring performances from his coaching career at Juventus, we feel so that he cannot hold the helm for long enough. So, we shortlisted some candidates with a stellar career who can improve the entire team’s performance and more at Juventus.

Our recommendations:

Massimiliano Allegri

Currently, Allegri is the easiest choice of Bianconeri. Allegri has been a coach to this club in the past. He left Juventus in 2019. He hasn’t coached any club or player since then. Under his helm, Bianconeri or Juventus won 5 Italian Serie A titles and 4 Italian Cups.

If that doesn’t state the writing on the wall for both Allegri and Andrea Pirlo, what will? Max has already confirmed that he is looking to go back to work. He is currently unattached to any club right now.

This is the perfect opportunity for Juventus to shortlist the possible candidates if they themselves want to save face.
However, there’s also news that Allegri is thinking of taking a dive into the English Premier League instead of heading any Italian team right now. If that’s true, Juventus can still have a lot of options to shortlist.

Zinedine Zidane

This can be a tough call for Juventus. Zinedine has been with Real Madrid for the last 13 years. And his contract is until the summer of 2022.

However, Zinedine might be the one that Real Madrid let’s go if he fails to turn the odds in his favor soon enough. Recently, he helped the team grab its first La Liga title in the last three seasons.

Majorly, the 2020-21 campaign was bland and could not prove fruitful for Real Madrid. If Real Madrid decides to be impatient, then Juventus has a chance to swoop right to grab the ever-so-consistent football coach for the improvement of their team’s dwindling performances.

It all depends on the statement Real Madrid releases in the next two years related to Zinedine. But Juventus won’t probably wait that long.

Thomas Tuchel

German coach Thomas will most certainly be available by next summer, unlike Zidane. Thomas had some nice and commendable experiences in achieving top titles for his clubs.

For example, during the Borussia Dortmund stint, he led the BVB team to earn the 2017-18 DFB Pokal title. It was coincidentally his career’s first title too.

DFB Pokal is the German championship competition, happening annually, allowing for as many as 64 teams to participate.

Julian Nagelsmann

He’s one of the youngest active European managers who managed 100 Bundesliga games. Then, he moved to Leipzig not long after he achieved the century for managing so many games under his age.

Leipzig is the newest member of the top 5 football league clubs in Europe. And Julian left no stone unturned to take this team to the semi-finals of the Champions League in the first season of his management at Leipzig.

Even though his contract with Leipzig is till 2023, if he somehow becomes available in the middle, Juventus should quickly grab the opportunity. Already, Julian is known for his pressing football strategies. He is opportunistic and proactive in leading his team towards a deterministic goal.

That’s all Juventus needs right now to improve its stats both at home and on the international ground.

Mauricio Pochettino

If Juventus shows Andrea the boot, Mauricio can be yet another high-profile candidate to make the cut. He is strictly known for his management skills, high-pressing football tactics, and being disciplined. That can give him brownie points to work with Juventus and deal with world-renowned players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Leonardo Bonucci, and Georgio Chiellini.

Even though Mauricio still doesn’t have a trophy under his belt to show for his pedigree, he still is worthy enough to lead Juventus to a peak of their performance.

After all, we have seen him leading Tottenham Hotspur to that team’s highest league finish. That was the third position in over thirty years. He even has worked hard enough to lead London Club to reach the cusp of their first ever Champions League title.
