Ross Announces Virtual Career Fair Supporting 1250 Recruitment Goal

Ottawa, Canada, November 9th 2021 – Ross Video has been recruiting throughout the pandemic and earlier this year Ross held a virtual career fair to enable candidates to learn more about our business and explore a career in the live production industry. With Ross unexpectedly managing to grow despite the pandemic, the 1000 employee milestone was overtaken earlier in 2021, and CEO David Ross now has his sights firmly on a headcount of 1250.

To support this ongoing recruitment drive Ross will be hosting an updated virtual career fair, to be held online on November 17th, 2021. “We have a great many roles to fill within Ross and these are across a variety of disciplines – commercial and technical – and in a number of countries,” notes Cathy McCallion, who is responsible for recruitment strategy at Ross. “2021 has been another challenging year for our industry but we remain committed to our long-term plan for the growth of the business. This plan depends on us recruiting the best possible people and this virtual career event will enable candidates from around the world to meet with Ross specialists, discuss our company and our culture, and learn more about the exciting industry we work in.”

While the live production industry has not been immune from the effects of the pandemic,  Ross has still managed to launch an impressive number of innovative solutions during this time. “We are certainly not downplaying the difficulties everyone has faced over the last two years, and it would be disingenuous to do so, but our company remains strong, and it is important that we continue looking to the future. David Ross, our CEO, has referred to the pandemic as a ‘painful bump in the road’, and I think our continued focus on expansion and recruitment reflects that view. We’re very much looking forward to meeting potential candidates from around the world at our career fair. Our last event was incredibly popular so I would encourage anyone interested in joining us to register early to avoid disappointment.”
