So today was the opening of The Cornwall Waterfront Farmers’ Market – Winter and Spring edition and I checked it our with my mother who is seen in the header photo.

How is it possible for the Market to open at this time of the year, I hear you say, because it is way too cold outside in Lamoureaux Park. Well, at 3pm the Market opened in the Marketplace on the first floor of Cornwall Square, away from the wintry weather outside

It may have been a small scale market today but I am sure that it will be growing in size every week and The Seeker is once again happy to be the media sponsor for the Cornwall Waterfront Farmers’ Market so you will be able to read all about upcoming events in the monthly issues of the Seeker.

The Market will be taking place every Thursday from 3pm to 6:30pm until May 26th.

The new owner of Cornwall Square, Weaving Baskets Group, has big plans to bring community events to the shopping Mall and I am excited to talk to them to get the scoop which I will be happy to share with you all…

I was excited to visit with the vendors today as the opening of the Market indicates that Spring is not too far away (actually March 20th is the first day of Spring) and gardening season will soon be here as well.

Vendors present today were:

They are located at 5857 Glen Brook Road South Glengarry, ON, Canada K0C 2J0. Check out their website at: www.buttebinefarm.com and also visit them on Facebook. You can come each week to pick up a loaf of their sourdough bread, their famous waffles and so much more. You can also order in advance and pick up at Cornwall Square on Thursdays.
