Buying gifts for your friends will fill you with joy and will make you think of every single wish they ever made so that you can fulfill them. Sometimes, it even feels as if your friendship is on the line. But, there is no need to be stressed. It is normal for you to feel overwhelmed when getting presents for your friends, but, have you ever thought of making one? Actually, investing time and effort in making something super original can express how much they mean to you, and here are some awesome ideas you can use.

  1. Scrapbooks Are Always In

Scrapbooking is not just a vintage tradition reserved for middle-aged ladies. Instead, it is a super creative thing. Scrapbooks are a perfect way to embed all of the moments you got to spend with your friend, or even to make a short record of your friendship. A useful and creative piece of advice is to make it a year-long project of collecting small things and putting them in the scrapbook. Everything you will need to do is to find a notebook suitable enough and collect materials such as paper, glue, stickers, and markers. You can go with Ohuhu brush markers, colorful tapes, pens, crayons, etc. You can use literally everything varying from your photos and funny text screenshots. Also, you can use polaroid photos which are always a super aesthetic idea. To make it even more memorable, add cinema and train tickets, tickets from your trips, and embarrassing pictures.

  1. “Open when…”

You have probably seen this idea all over Tumblr and Pinterest. All of your thoughts are collected in a book of letters that should be opened at times when your favorite friend is feeling happy, sad, excited, or in doubt. This is one of the most thoughtful gift ideas and is a perfect chance to write down whatever you never got a chance to say. So, you should name your book of letters as “Open when Happy”, “Open when Sad”, and “Open when Lonely”. Letters and memories put together to remind them how precious they are is much more creative than simply handing them a gift card. You will not need much for making this book. A couple of colored pencils, paper, glitter, markers, and stickers will do the job.

  1. Gift Box

Special dates should be celebrated and you choose how. Perhaps, you would like to throw a big party, organize a picnic or make a gift that will make a long-lasting memory. One of the greatest ideas is to make a gift box consisting of your friend’s favorite candies, skincare products (Carmex and sheet masks are a must), a collection of stickers, and your favorite photos. You know your friend the best and you need to be thoughtful about what they would like to find in the box the most. If you are running out of ideas, we suggest making DIY tea or coffee mugs. You can use your inside jokes as quotes. When it comes to materials, you will need acrylic paints, thick paper (for making the stencil for the quote), a scalpel (for cutting the stencil), a paintbrush, and transparent paint (final coat over the quote). Make the stencil and place it in the unicolor mug. Use your acrylics to paint over the stencil. Once the paint is dry, remove the stencil and apply one last layer of the transparent paint.

  1. Friendship Bracelets

If you do not have these, are you even friends? Friendship bracelets have been a thing ever since, and if you and your friend do not have one, then this is your sign to make them ASAP. Besides meaning being put in them, these bracelets can look amazing and act as completely original accessories. If you do not have a clue how to make them, then you should search for the designs you like the most and find YT tutorials that will help you make them. If you fail a couple of times, do not be discouraged, it is the effort you put into making them that matters. At the same time, this is a very inexpensive way to create something with deep emotional bonds. You will need different colors of threads, the pattern you will like to knit, and the rest is a breeze.

Making friendship gifts will boost your serotonin levels and will make you imagine the reaction of your friend once they receive a gift you made for them. DIY friendship gifts are a great chance for you to show your favorite friend how important they are and to let the creative friend in yourself wake up.
