Resident Café sees provides a good forum for discussion

Tonight, on November 22, the City of Cornwall hosted a Resident Café from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Salon B at the Cornwall Civic Complex. Louise had the opportunity to attend this event and shared the following details.

The purpose of this gathering was to provide residents with a chance to engage with key City of Cornwall staff members and discuss the upcoming 2024 budget. As a part of the pre-budget deliberations process, a brief survey was made available for residents to share their ideas and feedback. To access and complete the survey, attendees were directed to visit www.haveyoursaycornwall.ca.

It was emphasized that the input collected through this survey and the discussions at the Resident Café would be compiled into a summary and presented to the City Council before they commence their deliberations on the 2024 budget.

The event organizers assured attendees that they would keep the project page updated throughout the 2024 budget process. This would include providing additional information about opportunities for residents to participate and engage in the budget discussions.

It was a meaningful evening where residents had the chance to actively contribute to the conversation about the 2024 budget for the City of Cornwall. Thank you to everyone who participated in this important discussion.
