29th. Big Buck Hunting Contest & Banquet – The Major Sporting Event for the New Year
Eastern Ontario is fortunate to have a large population of Sportsmen and hunters. The contest for the largest buck started on November 6th and ended on December 29th. 2023. The Big Buck contest draws hunters from Quebec, Ontario and Akwesase. The contest has categories for the Heaviest Buck, Heaviest Doe, and Unlucky (Coyote) Kioti Contest. Every hunter has the buck, doe or coyote weighed at Fence Depot with photos taken of the entry.
The highlight of the contest is the Hunter’s Ball to be held on January 20th. Unfortunately, it is already sold out. The ball features many door prizes, and every registrant gets a gift bag with coupons for local businesses. The big door prize is a 2024 Yamaha Kodiak 450 ATV from Irwin Supply. Some of the major supporters are Cornwall Tire, Edward Jones (Brian Seguin), Rozon Insurance Brokers, Trottier Farm Equipment Ltd. And many more who will be listed at the event.
