Welcome Everyone to the last month of 2023!  Thanks for choosing to read this monthly magazine that is chocked- full of Positive and Informative News, Tips and Goings -On in the Cornwall area. Thanks so very much for the time, talents and efforts of Julia and Mai- Liis for all that they do to make this awesome magazine such a success. As well as I want to send out a BIG THANK YOU to all of the contributors that make up the interesting content throughout the year!

DECEMBER is the month of PARTIES! Tis the time to dive into our wardrobes to retrieve our Special & Fancy attire to be able to ROCK any party that we choose to attend this month. How should we dress for a Xmas/New Year’s party? Well, think Holiday Colours such as silver/gold/red/green or even deep- jewel tones. Choose to wear expensive looking dresses, skirts, tops and pants with adding plenty of finishing touches such as shoes, purses, scarves, hair accessories and some sparkly statement jewelry items to add a BLING factor!

Fashionably Marlene – Welcome 2025

We don’t have to have a lot of money in the bank to be able to wear classy/dress-up clothes. We can choose to remodel or upgrade some items that have already been worn. If you are able to.. you can save a lot of money by doing this yourself. If not, it is still economical to get a seamstress to do the job correctly as you will be saving money by not purchasing any new items. We can even revamp shoes/boots to add a “Special Touch” to them to be able to dance the night away with our favorite partners and friends.

Another way to dress- up more economically this Holiday Season is to visit one of the many thrift stores here and around Cornwall. There are many a pretty or fancy item to choose from in these stores. Not only are we helping ourselves..We are helping those that are less fortunate in our community by the monies that are raised through these stores and different programs. Yet another way is to choose a not- so- fancy- dress and add a sparkly jacket and or matching shoes/purse or even a unique hat to really add some Class to our Sass.

For this Festive Season we can get our hair cut, coloured, curled or done up or down in a fancy style. Nothing feels better than getting our hair washed, dried and styled to add the “finishing touch” to any outfit. If you can’t afford to do this.. then we can choose to do it ourselves, or we can ask a family member, or friend to help us achieve a pretty/party look.

As this year comes to an end.. I think of what I’ve done and who I’ve met and visited throughout these past 11 months. Now, I’m thinking what more is in store for me in 2024?  Hopefully more FUN adventures with Family and Friends.  *MERRY CHRISTMAS* HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY. Sincerely, F.M~
