“8AAT STEM Cubesat Robotics Camps targets youths aged 13 – 18. For 2024 we will offer sessions in Cornwall and Kemptville targeting low and middle-income families. 8AAT will invest in STEM education to foster entrepreneurship and industry growth in the region and provide an environment where students can explore, learn about career options and obtain hands-on STEM experience denied by COVID lockdowns. We currently have 3 high-school groups participating in an 8-month STEM project in the Ottawa Valley. We have year-long activities planned beyond the summer camps. More at www.8aat.space. We invite science teachers to inform their students about 8AAT STEM Cubesat Robotics Camps.”

“Leo Yoshinaka (VA3EBI) is a student at Carleton University, with previous experience with radiation physics and student satellite development projects, an instructor at 8AAT (club call-sign: VA3KYO), and recipient of RAC (Radio Amateurs of Canada) Scholarship for 2024.”
