Everyone can get connected through ART. Everyone can understand the red color, the blue and the happiness of the rainbow.

Everyone can feel the music if it’s sad. If it’s a happy music and we can dance together even if we don’t know the words of the song.

The Beauty of Freedom, Choice, and Belonging

Art can touch your heart, Art can change the word and art can get us all connected. We have been blessed in the Cornwall Art Hive working with beautiful organizations in our local community to spread this connection. Working with TR Leger Immigration Service School has been a beautiful experience since we started. We find ourselves more happy to get to know people. Yes we are all in one room but amazingly we came here from all over the world.

You can feel the energy of the diversity and how there is power in the New Beginnings. There is a well of learning and getting to know how capable everyone is. It’s a challenge full of Hope and I believe that we are all safe here in this beautiful experience, settling into a new community. We are all welcome in a place that will offer potential when we trust that can learn and start over by building together a safe place for us all.

It is never too late to start something new. I find that art is a magical easy way to tell stories. Our stories that were hard before are becoming easier to share by building friendships, building trust, knowing that we are all one and we all have a story to share.

I’m grateful for the experience and my heart is full of gratitude. That doesn’t need any approval. It just comes naturally with the human connection. I found creating art in groups creates healing energy and makes people feel safe to express themselves, to connect without judgment, as there is no right or wrong answer in the process of creating. Just trying with the main intention of not being an artist but just being a beautiful human, using different methods to connect, to discover ourselves and our feelings.

I have been working with kids and seniors in Retreats and Camps and now I’m honoured to work with newcomers who fill my heart full of gratitude.

This makes creating art beautiful and meaningful. Noraima Fernandez from Venezuela said “I feel good and happy in the art sessions. I like creating Art with groups and getting to know new friends. Natalie Bilyk from Ukraine shared, “I feel happy when I create Art and I want to do more if possible”.

So “Come and get your Art on”, dates, times and places are at the top of the page and at the end of the month, come and join us at the Cornwall Art Hive”Celebration of 2023″.
