The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has announced a nationwide strike set to begin at 12:01 a.m. ET on Friday, November 15.
Canada Post’s operations will be halted during the strike, disrupting services for millions of individuals and businesses nationwide.

How the Strike Will Affect You
Mail and parcel processing will come to a standstill during the strike. No new items will be accepted, and some post offices may be closed. Service guarantees for items already in the system will be suspended, and delivery will not resume until the strike ends.
Once operations restart, all mail and parcels will be handled on a first-in, first-out basis, but delays are expected even after the strike concludes. Restarting a national network takes time, and services may not return to normal immediately.
Canada Post is committed to securing and delivering items as quickly as possible once the strike is resolved.
