On your Mark, Get Ready … “Go”

The 52nd Annual Raisin River Canoe Race will be held on April 12, 2025. Beginning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic School (17283 County Road 18, St. Andrews West) The Raisin River Canoe Race is one of the longest canoe races in Eastern Ontario. Started in 1973, the race is 30 KM long and starts in St. Andrews West and ends in Williamstown. The race is always held when the water level is high and the river flow is suitable for paddlers. Safety is a major concern and the Raisin River Conservation Authority team work hard each year to make this race a success.

Finally, a common bond of communication between all parties will be done with the assistance of the Seaway Valley Amateur Radio Club. Its members are trained and government licensed radio operators will handle all voice communications between the support agencies involved.

Many organizations are working very hard to make this race a success. The Knights of Columbus will be hosting a pre-race breakfast at the St. Andrews West Church Hall. The breakfast begins at 7:00 a.m. on race day. Please support the sponsors who are a great part of the race.
