A message from the BBQ Smoker Boyz: “We are raising funds to support Maison Baldwin House’s upcoming project that will provide a separate, residential program for women and girls who are escaping Human Trafficking. Cornwall is a hub for Human Trafficking – it is happening here at an alarming rate. The current shelter and programs are built to support survivors of Domestic Violence, which is a very different demographic than those who’ve survived being Trafficked. We know that the need for a separate, private building with dedicated staff and programming specific to these Human Trafficking survivors is crucial. Our goal in 2025/2026 is to make this a reality in Cornwall – and we need your help. Proceeds from this event will support this new venture and help keep women in your community safe. More information about Maison Baldwin House can be found at baldwinhouse.ca“
