The City of Cornwall is thrilled to announce the eagerly anticipated return of its annual Touch a Truck event, set for Wednesday, August 20th, 2025, at Lamoureux Park’s Bandshell. Recognized as a highlight of the summer, Touch a Truck invites families from across Cornwall to explore, learn, and celebrate the vital services that shape our vibrant community.
From 5:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., children and adults alike will have the unique opportunity to get up close with an impressive lineup of City vehicles—including a dump truck, police cruisers, ambulances, street sweepers, and more. The event offers an engaging way for residents to connect directly with the professionals who keep Cornwall safe, clean, and thriving, while also learning about the many City departments that serve them every day.
“This is an event kids talk about all year long,” says Justin Lefebvre, Recreation Coordinator for the City of Cornwall. “Touch a Truck brings our community together in such a positive way. It’s a fantastic chance for families to interact with our City staff, learn about the services available to them, and just have fun.”
The excitement doesn’t end at sundown—this year’s Touch a Truck will once again conclude with a free family movie under the stars at Lamoureux Park. A screening of “The Mindcraft Movie” is set to begin at 8:30 p.m. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the show.
A local vendor will be onsite with food and drinks available for purchase, making it easy to settle in and enjoy a warm summer evening.
