Local Artist Margi Laurin to Compete on Food Network’s Halloween Wars

Morrisburg, ON] — For artist and master pumpkin carver Margi Laurin, Hallow-een has always been bigger than Christmas. From her early days experimenting with fine art, graphic design, calligraphy, and miniatures, Margi’s creative journey naturally led her to the world of 3D pumpkin carving. Fifteen years ago, she dis-covered the modern art form of sculpted pumpkin carving — and her life was forever transformed.

Now, Margi is taking her passion to the national stage as a competitor on Food Network’s hit reality series, Halloween Wars. She will appear in Season 15, prem-iering Sunday, September 15 with Road to Halloween Wars, followed by the first competition episode on Sunday, September 21. “I’ve always loved the magic of Halloween — the creativity, the fun, and a little bit of spookiness,” says Laurin.
