WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, THEFT

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 31, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with fail to comply with probation order as well as theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Nov. 14, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged he stole a cell phone from an individual known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for the man’s arrest. On Dec. 31, 2025, the man attended Cornwall Police Service headquarters for an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Feb. 10, 2026.

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 31, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order. On Dec. 31, 2025, police were dispatched to a breach of probation complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Dec. 17, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not contact or communicate in any way with her boyfriend. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was in communication with her boyfriend. On Dec. 31, 2025, the woman was located by police. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 10, 2026.

FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 31, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Sept. 29, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Dec. 31, 2025, the woman was located by a CPS officer who was dealing with an unrelated matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Feb. 10, 2026.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 1, 2026, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. In the early morning hours of Jan. 1, 2026, a CPS officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Brookdale Avenue, and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Jan. 27, 2026.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 1, 2026, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. In the early morning hours of Jan. 1, 2026, a CPS officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Ninth Street West, and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Jan. 27, 2026.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – A 63-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 1, 2026, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. In the early morning hours of Jan. 1, 2026, a CPS officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Sydney Street, and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Jan. 15, 2026.

PUBLIC MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old man from Hogansburg, NY, was arrested on Jan. 1, 2026, and charged with mischief. In the early morning hours of Jan. 1, 2026, members of the CPS were dispatched to a stolen motor vehicle call, and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man allegedly made a false statement to officers, and that a theft of vehicle had not been committed. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Feb. 12, 2026.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old man from South Stormont was arrested on Jan. 2, 2026, and charged with domestic assault. On Jan. 2, 2026, members of the CPS were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man assaulted his spouse. He was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was later released to appear in court on Jan. 20, 2026.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old man from St. Andrews West was arrested on Jan. 2, 2026, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On Jan. 2, 2026, members of the CPS were dispatched to the area of Power Dam Drive for a motor vehicle collision, and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Jan. 27, 2026.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 3, 2026, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. In the early morning hours of Jan. 3, 2026, a CPS officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Ninth Street West, and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Jan. 15, 2026.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old woman from Lancaster was arrested on Jan. 3, 2026, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged on Dec. 1, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. It is also alleged on Dec. 2, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest. In the early morning hours of Jan. 3, 2026, police were dispatched to a fraud complaint, and an investigation ensued. The woman was located and the warrant was executed. She was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 3, 2026, and charged with fail to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged on Sept. 8, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. On Jan. 3, 2026, the woman was located by a CPS officer. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 19, 2026. 

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 69-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 3, 2026, and charged with assault. It is alleged on Jan. 3, 2026, the man punched an individual known to him in the face. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Feb. 10, 2026.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 3, 2026, and charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Jan. 3, 2026, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the business without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Feb. 10, 2026.

FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 3, 2026, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm

On Jan. 3, 2026, members of the CPS were dispatched to a weapons call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess any weapons. It is also alleged on this date, the man brandished an edged weapon and made threats toward his neighbour. He was subsequently located by a CPS officer. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old man from Toronto was arrested on Jan. 4, 2026, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. In the early morning hours of Jan. 4, 2026, a CPS officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Sydney Street, and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Jan. 27, 2026.

FAIL TO COMPLY, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 45-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 4, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and criminal harassment – threatening conduct. On Nov. 15, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to a family dispute call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man allegedly engaged in threatening conduct toward his father, causing him to fear for his safety. As a result of the investigation, police formed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. On Jan. 4, 2026, police were dispatched to an unwanted person complaint, and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 68-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 4, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Oct. 5, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, police formed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. On Jan. 4, 2026, he was located by a CPS officer who was on general patrol. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 10, 2026.

ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – On Jan. 4, 2026, members of the CPS responded to a weapons complaint, and an investigation ensued. As a result, three individuals were apprehended by police.

  • A 33-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm
  • A 36-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm
  • A 33-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm

It is alleged on Jan. 4, 2026, the three individuals assaulted a woman known to them with a baton, causing injuries. The individuals were subsequently located by CPS officers. They were taken into custody, charged accordingly and each held for bail hearings.

FAIL TO COMPLY, ROBBERY WITH VIOLENCE, POSSESSION PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – On Jan. 4, 2026, members of the CPS were dispatched to a robbery in progress, and an investigation ensued. As a result, two individuals were apprehended by police.

A 33-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Robbery with violence
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

A 35-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Robbery with violence
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

It is alleged on Jan. 4, 2026, both individuals were bound by probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on this date, the individuals approached a man on his electric scooter, demanded that the man surrender his electric scooter, then pushed him off the scooter and assaulted the man. The individuals were subsequently located by CPS officers. They were taken into custody, charged accordingly and each held for bail hearings.
