Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 25, 2026, on the strength of outstanding warrants.
On May 4, 2025, members of the Cornwall Police Service were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on May 4, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to not contact or communicate in any way with his ex-spouse, to not be within 200 metres of her, to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to notify the court or probation officer in advance of any change of address. It is further alleged on this date, the man was in contact with his ex-spouse. He also allegedly failed to notify the court or probation officer of a change of address. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charges of four counts of fail to comply with probation order.
It is further alleged from May 12, 2025, to June 27, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to report in person to a probation officer. He failed to do so, and a second warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to comply with probation order.
On Feb. 25, 2026, the man was located by police at the courthouse. The warrants were executed and he was returned to cells to await a bail hearing.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 25, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Feb. 5, 2026, the youth was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of failure to attend court after having appeared. On Feb. 25, 2026, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on April 2, 2026.
