Admission to the Canada Day festivities is absolutely free, ensuring that everyone in the community can join in on the fun. The event will kick off at 3 p.m. when the gates open to welcome residents and visitors alike to a day of excitement and patriotism.

One of the highlights of the celebrations will be a live performance by Diamond’s Edge, a talented band known for their renditions of the 70s, 80s, and 90s music. Attendees can groove to their favorite tunes and enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere created by this energetic musical journey through the decades.

For nature enthusiasts and animal lovers, Little Ray’s Reptiles will be offering an interactive experience where attendees can get up close and personal with fascinating reptiles. This educational and entertaining display will captivate children and adults alike.

Additionally, a wide range of engaging activities will be available for all age groups. Families can engage in a friendly horseshoe tournament, cool off in an interactive water inflatable, play on a dry interactive inflatable, or test their skills on the dry interactive inflatables. A special area will also be dedicated to kids’ karaoke, allowing the little ones to showcase their talents and have a blast.

As the day progresses, hunger pangs can be satisfied by visiting the on-site kitchen and bar. Whether attendees prefer to savor their meal outdoors during a picnic or dine inside, various food options will be available.

The festivities will culminate in a breathtaking fireworks display scheduled to light up the night sky at 10 p.m. This grand finale promises to leave attendees in awe as they celebrate the nation’s birthday with a dazzling visual spectacle.

The Monkland & District Community Centre, located at 17337 County Road 43, will serve as the central hub for all of Monkland’s Canada Day activities. Its spacious grounds and welcoming atmosphere make it the perfect venue for this joyous occasion. Attendees are encouraged to bring their family, friends, and patriotic spirit to make this Canada Day celebration an unforgettable experience.
