Cornwall, Ontario – Get ready for a vibrant explosion of art and culture as Downtown Cornwall transforms into its very own Art District for the highly anticipated Cornwall Art Walk. Taking place on Friday, June 23rd, from 4 to 9 PM, this event promises to be a not-to-be-missed street-party celebration of the summer.

Cornwall, ON – Seaway Senior Citizens Club is gearing up for another busy Fall with a wide variety of activities, classes, programs, and special events geared to those fifty plus in the Cornwall / Akwesasne area.

Pitt Street, spanning from Second to Water, will be bustling with creativity, featuring more than 60 artists, artisans, musicians, and local groups showcasing their talents. From stunning paintings to intricate sculptures, visitors can immerse themselves in a diverse range of artistic expressions. The streets will come alive with the sounds of live music, and street performers will captivate audiences with their mesmerizing acts.

Interactive art spaces will allow attendees to actively engage with the creative process, encouraging a deeper appreciation for the arts. Additionally, a dedicated Family Zone will provide a host of activities suitable for all ages. From drama performances to magic workshops, families can expect a fun-filled evening of entertainment and creativity.

“For me, the Family Zone at Cornwall Art Walk is about introducing a variety of different art mediums to the youth in our community and their families. Art sometimes can be seen as strictly visual but there is so much more than that! Art has no limits and we can see art through out our every day without realizing it. From a child dancing to reciting poetry they just wrote,” Miss D Creations artist Brett Desrosiers stated.

Many local businesses in downtown Cornwall will also be joining in on the festivities by offering special deals and promotions, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the Art Walk. This event serves as a testament to the strong community spirit and support for the arts in Cornwall.

Neil Carriere, President of Your Arts Council, Cornwall & the Counties, expressed his excitement for the upcoming event, stating, “Every year, I look forward to the Cornwall Art Walk more than Christmas! I get dizzy from all the friendly people I meet, the great vibe, and the wonderful culture I see. It is an event my family and I will never miss!”

The Cornwall Art Walk promises a diverse lineup of performers to entertain visitors throughout the evening. The Pommier Stage will feature rock band Castles at 4 pm, followed by the Jamie Heath Blues Party at 5 pm. Katie Ditschun will take the stage at 6 pm, followed by Lone Wolf & The Spaghetti Corner Band at 7 pm, and The O’Neils at 8 pm.

The Mexi’s stage will host the Cornwall New Horizons Band from 4 pm to 4:30 pm, captivating the audience with their musical talents.

With its wide array of artistic offerings, the Cornwall Art Walk is an event showcasing Cornwall, Ontario’s vibrant cultural scene and creative talent. This street-party celebration is an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to come together, support local artists, and experience the transformative power of art.
