I had a most wonderful visit in Ottawa last Thursday and Friday evening with seven of my family members. We all got together to celebrate not one, not two, but three birthdays that are all happening this month. William’s was on the 10th, Lincoln’s was yesterday, the 22nd, Ella Rose’s is this Sunday, the 24th. Last, but not least is Melinda’s at the end of the month on the 28th. We decided to go to a Chinese Buffet called ~The Madarin~ to clebrate 3 out of 4 of the birthdays. Marcus had us all stay overnight at his new place down near the Byward Market. We enjoyed a nice and refreshing walk on Friday afternoon to Rideau Falls (which was a 20 minute walk away from his place.) The sun was shining brightly, the birds were singing, and everyone was happy being together on this lovely Spring day in the Nation’s capital (my hometown.) Although Ottawa is a beautiful city to visit, I love living right here in Cornwall… My New Hometown. My New Beginning… My New Start…. My New & Wonderful Life!!!

Item of the Week: This week I am choosing something that is whimsical. I not only like different types of shoes, purses and hats … I like “Unique Items” as well … Such as my pick for this week. A hand-painted & hand-made black & white striped wooden kittycat bank that I bought at ~Value Village~ for ONLY $2.99. It seems to meow out to me as I walk by to put in some coinage for future purchases for Cloud, my cat or perhaps even me. Please check out the other thrift stores here in Cornwall to find your very own “Unique Items” at Great Prices. Happy Shopping Now!!!
Family News: My eldest grandson, Lincoln is turning 18 on April 22nd!!! Time sure has flown by… I can remember being in the delivery room with your Mom (Melinda) and that I helped cut your umbilical cord. What a momentous day that was… ME, BECOMING A GRANDMOTHER FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME. It was both scarey and exciting at the same time. All the very best in your upcoming year Lincoln. May you make the right choices to what you want to do in the life that lies before you my dear grandson. Ella Rose, my third daughter has a birthday that is coming up on Sunday April 24th. She has become quite successful in her line of promotional and modeling work and I am so very proud of all that she has accomplished thus far. All the very best to you Ella Rosey on taking more trips and visiting more locations and having many more fun adventures in the upcoming year, my dear, sweet daughter.
Until Next Week: If you don’t Leave your PAST in the PAST…It will Destroy your FUTURE…LIVE for what TODAY has to Offer, Not what YESTERDAY has taken away.
