The Seaway Valley Theatre Company invites you to attend this season’s children’s musical. Your favourite practically perfect nanny takes centre stage in the supercalifragilisticexpialidocious adventure,”Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins JR.”

Bert, the jack-of-all trades, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family.  Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again.Overtime,Jane and Michael aren’t the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect.Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advise sthat”Anything can happen if you let it.”

Helming the show as director is longtime SVTC member Corey Disotell, who has assembled forty of Cornwall and area’s finest and most promising young stage actors for the cast. Producing the show are Jennifer Bellemare and Katie Blackadder, and Stephanie St. Louis returns again as musical director. Making her SVTC debut as choreographer is Shauna DuBray.

“Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins JR.” will be staged at the Aultsville Theatre, 2 St. Lawrence Drive, Cornwall, on Saturday, December 7 at 1:30PM and 4:30PM, and Sunday, December 8 at 1:30PM. Tickets are $15.00 for adults and $12.00 for children aged 12 and under. They are available in advance online at svtc.theticketwicket.ca. They can also be bought in person or by phone at the office of the Alzheimer Society of Cornwall and District, 106B Second Street West, Time Square, Cornwall, 613-932-4914, Monday to Friday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM. Tickets may also be bought at the door from one hour before curtain time. All seats are assigned and the venue is wheelchair
accessible.
