The City of Cornwall’s Fire Chief Pierre Voisine has accepted a new position with the City of Clarence-Rockland.
His resignation from the City of Cornwall is effective June 19, 2020.
The City is grateful for Chief Voisine’s five years of service, during which time he led Cornwall Fire Services’ daily operations while spearheading the development and modernization of by-laws and policies for the Fire Service, and leading new initiatives in community outreach to increase awareness and education.
“We are proud of the work Chief Voisine has accomplished in Cornwall during his five years of leadership”, said CAO Maureen Adams. “We wish him the best in his new role. I am not surprised Clarence-Rockland also recognized the value of Voisine’s commitment to community safety and innovation.”
Cornwall Fire Services will be led by Deputy Chief Jeff Weber while recruitment for the position of Chief takes place.
