Hello There to all of you reading ~ The Seeker~ this month and every month that passes us by.

Welcome, and I hope you have enjoyed the month of April. This is the month where everything seems to awaken and come alive. Just take a look at the many gardens, trees and shrubs and you will see the “New Growth” that is magically happening right before our eyes. I love this time of year seeing everything change from dull whites, browns and greys to baby greens and all of the many colours of the rainbow from the many different buds and flowers peeking their sleepy heads out from the dampened earth. I love hearing and seeing our Canadian geese returning from their Winter vacations down South. I love breathing in the fresh, but sometimes chilly morning air to start my day.

My dear Johnny is on the mend and is doing quite well despite going through 7 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy. He is able to eat some “Real Food” now and his energy levels are coming back. He is able to do some little jobs around the house and he is able to drive to pick up a few groceries and things. This makes me so happy and it has certainly changed my somber and negative mood to a happy one, now that I can see the end of the road that once was too foggy to see. I have been given back my confidence and positive attitude to live on for many years to come. I have way too much Life to live and to witness to be down, sad or negative. So, I am so glad to tell you all that ~Positively Marlene IS BACK!!!

Spring is a time of rebirth and renewal. It is a time when all that looked dead and gone is now alive and reawakening. The flower bulbs we planted in the fall look like dead, withered things, and the seeds are brown and dry. All seems dead after being a part of a plant’s life-cycle, but then a very magical thing begins to happen. The warmth of the sun reaches into the earth and gives new life to what seemed dead. Seeds begin to sprout, and bulbs burst open with new growth. The cycle of life continues for yet another season, of which I am so glad to be alive and a part of.

Tips Of The Month: Here are (8) things to remember when we are going through “Tough Times”: 1. Everything Can and Will change. 2. We have overcome many Challenges before. 3. This is a Learning Experience for us. 4. Not getting what we want can be a Blessing in disguise. 5. Allow ourselves to have FUN! 6. Being kind to ourselves is the Best Medicine. 7. Other people’s negativity is not worth worrying about. 8. And There Is Always, Always Something To Be Thankful For.

Deal Of The Month: I have chosen something a little different this month. It is something that I won from an auction. You see, I have always have been a bit “musically inclined,” but as a young girl I was never encouraged to play an instrument by my family. I had tried to play a clarinet and a cello in grade 7, but to my despair and dismay they didn’t like the sound of me practicing.. So, sadly I gave up. So, Now over 45 years later I went and got myself a modern violin so I can get my Johnny to teach me. I got this white violin for a “Steal of a Deal” for ONLY $101.00. Yes, $101.00 is was what I won it for. I looked it up to see what price it would be and it is worth over $450.00. Now That Is What I Call A DEAL! Oh, Johnny Music Pants.

Did You Know? APRIL comes from the word” Aperire” which means “To Open”. So during this month.. OPEN YOUR EYES, YOUR MINDS, YOUR HEARTS, AND YOUR SOULS TO ENJOY LIFE TO THE VERY FULLEST!

Family News: There are many birthdays to celebrate in the month of April. William, my 3rd grandson turned 10 on the 10th. Lincoln, his brother, and my eldest grandson turned 23 on the 22nd. His mother, Melinda, my eldest daughter turned 41 on the 28th. My 3rd daughter, EllaRose turned 38 on the 24th. May you all have wonderfully fun birthdays this year. All the very best in the upcoming year. Love Always Mom/ Nana.

I also want to share with you that I will be having two more grandchildren (from my daughters Ella Rose & Victoria) and 1 more great -grandchild,(Abigail) in the upcoming months. I have been so Blessed with beautiful and healthy children, grandchildren, and now, great grandchildren.

Community News: If you want or need anything done with your hair..Corrine Sullivan McGimpsey of The Secret Salon here in Cornwall can do it for you. She has been my “personal hairdresser” for many years and she has never disappointed John or I. What I really like about Corrine is she listens and does what YOU want her to do. She has over 35 years of experience so she knows what she is doing. You can find Corrine on face book to make your next hair appt. (once the hairdressers are able to open up again of course). My profile pic is my new haircut and colour for Spring of 2021.

Until Next Month: Appreciate where you are in your journeys, even, if it is not where you want to be. Every Season Serves A Purpose.
