Cornwall, ON (May 25, 2021) – As the weather heats up, the Ontario SPCA Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Animal Centre kicks off its Sweat for Pets virtual fundraiser, a cool campaign that inspires people of all ages to set their own personal fitness challenge while raising funds in support of vulnerable animals.
Whether you have a furry family member at home or just want to get moving after a long winter, it’s time to get active to help animals. The five-week Sweat for Pets campaign kicks off on May 25 and inspires participants to get active while raising funds in support of vulnerable animals in the community.
Get ready to sweat for pets with your own challenge, while encouraging your family, friends and co-workers to pledge their support with a donation. Participants can run, walk, ride, swim or create a unique challenge of their own. Choose a challenge that fits your fitness level and abilities.
“By participating in Sweat for Pets, you’re not only raising critical funds to give animals a second chance, but you’re also doing something good for yourself by getting active and setting personal goals,” says Carol Link, Centre Manager, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Animal Centre. “No matter how you decide to Sweat for Pets, it will have a big impact for vulnerable animals.”
Funds raised through Sweat for Pets support life-changing work to give animals in need a second chance and support the work we are doing in communities across Ontario. Participants register at sweatforpets.ca and raise funds by asking family, friends and neighbours to pledge their support to help change the lives of animals in need.
