Nominations are now open – Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence and Citizen of the Year Awards

Nominations for The Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence and Citizen of the Year Awards are now open.

Last year the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce honoured the winners in a powerful new way with the launch of the 44-page BEA+ magazine.” The magazine creates an enduring celebration of the Citizen of the Year and Business Excellence Awards winners,” stated Chamber President Shannon Lebrun. “We look forward to this year’s edition and the inspirational stories of our winners.” The anticipated launch of the 2022 BEA+ is in the middle of June.

This year also marks the 50th year the Citizen of the year has been awarded. Last year the Citizen of the Year was awarded to men’s mental health advocate Stephen Douris.

“We encourage anyone to submit nominations for awards,” says Lynn Chauvin, Business Excellence Awards Committee Chair. “We rely on the feedback and nominations from business owners and community members alike to help us make decisions on award winners.”

The Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce asks the community to submit nominations for the awards by filling out an online form. Nominations for the various awards will be accepted until February 1st, 2022.
