The generosity of others is truly remarkable.

SJCCC is sending big, big thanks to Harold Lalonde, a former patient of SJCCC’s Rehabilitation program, for his recent $300 in support of equipment for Rehabilitation services in Hotel Dieu Hospital.

As an active member of the Cornwall community, Mr. Lalonde spent 26 years on the Board of Directors for the Knights of Columbus and knows how difficult it can be to fundraise. According to Mr. Lalonde ” The care at SJCCC is the best care I’ve ever received, the staff have been wonderful. I wasn’t feeling confident enough to be on my own, but thanks to (them), I am ready.” Mr. Lalonde stayed just over six weeks at the Centre and the staff were sad to see him go. SJCCC was not expecting such a wonderful donation but are very humbled by his kindness and appreciate his generosity.

Mr.Lalonde hopes his journey inspires others, he said “I didn’t know we had a facility like this in town, and I’m not sure that others in our community know as well. I am grateful that I was able to do my rehabilitation after surgery in Cornwall”.
