The economy

Right now, the state of Texas is one of the healthiest state economies in America. It is ranked as one of the best places to start a business and is second for the business environment. Texas produces nine percent of the US GDP ad is also the 9th largest economy in the world ahead of Brazil, Canada, and South Korea. There are many jobs available, and it has been estimated that the median income for the area is around $53,600.

The Sports

Texas is full of sports fans. Pretty much every weekend you will find crowds of Texans at sports bars and in the stadiums supporting their favorite teams. It is full of professional teams in every sport and the area has earned a national reputation for sports dating back to the pioneer days. Rodeos are still active, and it is one of the few places in the world where you can see them. If you are a sports fan then you will fit right in, in Texas.

House prices

House prices are always on the rise. Especially across America. However, if you move to Texas then you will find plenty of affordable homes in and around cities. Many of the best places in Texas are relatively affordable. The average price of a home in Texas is around $280,000. This is much more approachable than other cities dotted around the country, and you get much more for your money than compared to other places.

Education

There is no shortage of private schools in Texas with great reputations if you have children. Many of them reside in bigger cities like Houston and Dallas but can also be found in Corpus Christi. The University rankings have Rice University in Houston at number 17 nationally followed by the University of Texas at number 18. You will be spoiled for choice if you move to Texas. Your children will be well looked after in the educational system.

Moving to Texas

There is so much to see and do within Texas that it can be a no-brainer when you are looking for somewhere to move to. There are great schools at affordable prices as well as a culture of sports. It is also one of the friendliest states to move to. All you need to do is pick where you want to move to and how you can make it work. Then you can pack your bags and get on your way.
