FanSaves platform powering resource guide connecting Chicago businesses to race attendees

In preparation for the highly anticipated NASCAR Chicago Street Race Weekend, this exciting partnership with FanSaves, a local sports tech startup, aims to provide fans with a comprehensive resource guide accessible through NASCARChicago.com. The guide aims to connect attendees with a wide range of local establishments, including restaurants, accommodations, and attractions.

By utilizing the resource guide, local businesses have the unique opportunity to engage directly with ticket holders, tourists, and the local community, encouraging them to explore and support Chicago Street Race Weekend. Fans can access the resource guide on NASCARChicago.com and the NASCAR Tracks App to discover more about Chicago’s establishments and take advantage of exclusive deals.

Michelle Weddige, Senior Director of Business Strategy at Chicago Street Race, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “As we prioritize supporting the local community, this online resource guide will empower local businesses to directly engage with our audience leading up to and during the Chicago Street Race Weekend. We are excited to partner with FanSaves on this innovative initiative, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact in Chicago.”

Our very own Shannon Ferguson, Co-Founder & CEO of FanSaves, as well as a top 5 nominee for this year’s Woman in Business Seeker’s Choice Award, also shared her excitement, saying, “The Chicago Street Race is an incredibly innovative sports and entertainment festival located in the heart of downtown Chicago. We are proud to collaborate with the event and connect attendees with local businesses and potential deals. Our technology powering this resource guide will drive economic growth for Chicago businesses in the build-up and during the Chicago Street Race.”

FanSaves operates as a digital couponing platform. It provides fans with exclusive discounts and deals from affiliated brands associated with sports teams, organizations, and properties. FanSaves is currently part of the third cohort of the Comcast NBCUniversal SportsTech Accelerator.

The Comcast NBCUniversal SportsTech Accelerator aims to enhance products and services while preparing selected startups for commercial success within the sports industry. Earlier this year, they brought together the Chicago Street Race and FanSaves in a collaboration that seeks to attract new fans to the sport and the city of Chicago.

Jenna Kurath, Vice President of Startup Partnerships & Head of Comcast NBCU SportsTech, expressed her excitement, stating, “The FanSaves digital platform is a valuable resource for fans seeking discounts and deals from businesses that sponsor their favorite sports. For new visitors to Chicago, it’ll help foster a truly one-of-a-kind street race experience during the inaugural Chicago Street Race.”

The Chicago Street Race is the first-ever NASCAR Cup Series street race. Located in downtown Chicago, the event will take competitors past and through many of the city’s most renowned downtown landmarks on Michigan Avenue, South Columbus Drive, South Lake Shore Drive and the start-finish line near Buckingham Fountain. The Cup Series will be joined by the NASCAR Xfinity Series as part of a one-of-a-kind sports and entertainment festival headlined by Miranda Lambert, The Chainsmokers, Charley Crockett, and The Black Crowes over the Fourth of July Weekend on July 1-2, 2023.
