A lone holiday can be just the right thing when it comes to relaxing and getting away from it all. Being by yourself, you can minimize the responsibility for others and simply focus on yourself. Learn how to navigate through the twists and turns of Dubai using your own instincts. Try to rent a car in Dubai to explore the city in full. Recognize landmarks to map out the areas. There is always something new to discover and you can find plenty of activities to get involved in. Read our useful tips on how to get started on your solo adventure.

Plan Beforehand

Nothing is better than having a plan to follow. It can bring calm when you are somewhere new, possibly lost and confused. It is best to visualize what you need to accomplish, what you wish to see, and what you want to do while you visit. Dubai has a lot of tour guides and special offers for things booked in advance. You can do a lot of your research online, which is where you are more likely to find special deals. Put together your own itinerary so you have a step-by-step guide to follow once you leave the airport.

Looking at Reviews

A lot of sites online can give you first-hand accounts of the Dubai experience. This includes places to go see and what kind of fun activities to get dragged into. Reviews can be found for literally everything. This includes restaurants, hotels, boat rides, car rentals, shopping, and more. Try to look for more honest reviews if you can. It can be common to come across bot accounts which are just used for advertising. Look for people who offer real insight into what they have enjoyed so far and what they haven’t.

Pack What You Need

You may think that you only need to pack what you need. While this is ideal, there could always be new opportunities around every corner. Dubai can be full of surprises. You may find something that wasn’t planned but looks oh-so enticing. Try to plan for scenarios most likely to happen. Pack a bathing suit or two for any coast swimming and pool fun. Be sure to also pack other essentials that can handle the heat, such as sunscreen and proper covering. Dubai is always expected to be hot so don’t pack anything for the cold.

How to Travel

The best way to travel in Dubai is by car. Car rentals are one of the most popular methods of transport in the UAE, due to there being hundreds of them to choose from. You plan a car rental to be ready and waiting for you, from the moment you touch down at the airport. There are many models to rent, well-suited for different travelers. As a solo traveler, we would highly recommend renting a fancy luxury car. Perfectly suitable to cruise through the city by yourself. Below are some examples of car rentals you can choose from:

  • KAYAK
  • OneClickDrive
  • Car Rental UAE
  • AP Supercar Rental
  • Renty
  • X Car Rental

Ask for Help

Never be ashamed of asking for help when needed. Dubai is one of the biggest metropolis cities on the planet. It is full of ever-twisting blocks and roads leading to who knows where. Even if you have a map or a plan on where to go, the city itself can be difficult to navigate. In times like these, do not panic. There will always be a tour guide or a place of contact to try and get your bearings. They may even point you towards attractions you didn’t know were happening. Asking the locals is like asking the relative experts. What they know will be miles more helpful than a simple internet search.

Don’t be Afraid of the New

Our final tip is to be bold and get yourself out there. Never be scared to try something different, especially if it is unique to Dubai itself. This means that you will never have such an experience anywhere else. A lot of these moments can be life-changing, even if doing it with other people. Experiencing these events for yourself can add a new perspective, offering a chance to be a new version of yourself. An improved version.
