HOW TO KEEP UP WITH YOUR NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION

Hello again! As you all are aware it’s that time of year when people make promises to improve themselves during the new year but ultimately forget by the end of January. So I want to talk about all the ways you can make and keep a New Year’s resolution.

First things first you need to make your goal reachable as people tend to be demotivated when they see a goal like becoming TikTok famous or something like that. That is a most challenging goal and will leave you feeling worthless by the end of the year. Aim for something you can do such as:

Try a new hobby

But more importantly the resolution has to be self improving. It has to make you a better person than the one you were before, it should also make you feel accomplished.

Now, the hard part is trying to keep these resolutions. A good one is telling people about it. Most people don’t really do this because they like wallowing in self pity when they fail their resolution. But when you tell people, they’ll remind you and ask you about how your resolution is going. I don’t know about you all, but this really helps me, since I’m a really hard headed person and I can’t just say oh I forgot and continue to forget for the rest of the year. It’s gonna be on all my to do lists – you’ll just flip through and see something like.

Do New Year’s resolutions (HURRY!!!)

So if you’re like me just keep my advice in mind.

Lists can also work wonders. Preferably make one at the beginning of the year in order to mark down when and how you want your resolution the be completed. Schedule specific days or times you’ll reserve for your resolution, one important thing to note is that when you pick a day you stick to it, don’t start saying things like “I’ll do it later”. Do it now. This will teach you to be strong willed and disciplined.

There are many other ways to make and keep New Year’s resolutions and you can find them at a variety of different websites such as:

Country living 45 New Year’s resolutions you can actually keep.

University of California 7 tips to keep your New Year’s resolution. Both of which I used as reference in order to write this.

Thank you so much for reading this months magazine and I hope all of you have a Happy New Year!
