Building and Maintaining Impactful Connections aka Learning how to Network with Zero Cringe…

This is exactly what OUT and ABOUT with Seeker Chick Mai-Liis learned how to do at the recent Business Sisters – Consœurs en Affaires event that was held on Thursday, April 24th at the Recreation Centre in Dunvegan, Ontario.

It was a wonderful event, with about 35 ladies in attendance, organized by Doreen Ashton Wagner where the guest speaker was Chris McMartin from Scotiabank Women’s Initiative. This woman spoke for 45 minutes on a topic that makes us all cringe, namely networking, but by the end of her presentation we were all laughing and realizing that if we can take the pressure off ourselves, and just be our natural selves, there is nothing to worry about.

Event sponsors Greg and Tara at ACCFutures talked about the services that their organization has to offer to businesses we had a Speed Networking exercise that was a lot of fun but ended way too fast.

So many great connections were made at this event as you can see by the many photos taken.

I try to attend as many of the Business Sisters Events as I can and if you would like to find out more about this wonderful organization, please visit them on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/BusinessSistersConsoeurs or their website at: www.business-sisters.ca

The end of the event always concludes with a circle of intros and “asks” as seen here.

Of course we can’t forget our wonderful barman, Heinz (Doreen’s hubby) and our caterer, https://euphiedici.com, who fed us a yummy meal.
