Raymond Houde Appointed Interim Executive Director of United Way Centraide of Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry
Cornwall, Ontario (July 11, 2025) – United Way Centraide of Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SDG) announced today that Executive Director Juliette Labossière will be taking a temporary medical leave beginning July 25, as she focuses on treatment following a recent breast cancer diagnosis. During her absence, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Raymond Houde as Interim Executive Director.
“Our thoughts are with Juliette as she focuses on her recovery. The entire team stands with her and is committed to continuing the important work she has led with such care and determination,” said Board Chair Gerard McDonald. “With Raymond’s leadership and the dedication of our staff and board, United Way Centraide SDG remains in strong, capable hands.”
Raymond brings over 40 years of experience in the social services sector, including 35 years as Executive Director of Family Counselling Centre of SD&G, which later amalgamated with SD&G Development Services to become Inspire – Community Support Services. During his career and since retiring, he has contributed meaningfully to the community, having served as Chair of the Boards of Directors for the SD&G Legal Clinic, Job Zone d’Emplois, and Family Services of Ontario. He currently serves as Vice-President of Club Richelieu of Cornwall.
During his time leading the Family Counselling Centre of SDG, Raymond collaborated closely with United Way Centraide SDG as the organization was a long-time funded partner. This long-standing relationship has given him valuable insight into United Way’s mission and its community impact.
His proven ability to guide organizations through periods of transition, combined with his strong knowledge of local needs, will help ensure continuity in daily operations and drive progress on United Way’s strategic priorities.
The United Way Centraide SDG team looks forward to working with Raymond to continue building strong, inclusive, and resilient communities across Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry, Cornwall, and Akwesasne.
